are provided with all information that is required to enable them to make
a wholly informed decision on what their future reproductive plans will be.

You may request all or any of the following procedures at the Medical
Genetics Center to achieve adequate genetic counseling
Clinical Examination
This is done by a qualified consultant (if the case is not
already diagnosed by referring physician).
Pedigree construction
All the relevant family data are recorded in a family pedigree
Laboratory studies
The necessary studies are done through the arrangement with the

Computerized search:
When necessary, several genetic and dysmorphology databases may be
screened to detect similar case or to look for updated information

Int'l consultation:
Some rare genetic disorders may require collaboration with
investigators or centers that are primarily specialized in such
disorders. We may arrange for such consultations and investigations

Final genetic counseling
Patients will have one or more session for genetic counseling with a
specialized consultant who conveys the medical information to them in
a clear, simplified way so that they can take their decision.
N.B. Throughout
all the steps of Genetic counseling the referring physician will be
receive updated details so that he may continue the management when the patient
is referred back to the referring clinic.
